If You're Serious About Going To BSchool, Choose Eli

Choosing to hire an admissions consultant is a tough decision to make. Not only is it eye-poppingly expensive, but you might be worried whether or not you are choosing the right person.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have, almost entirely by chance, decided to work with Eli when I was beginning the application process. I am 100% certain that being a current admit at my top choice MBA program wouldn’t have been possible without Eli’s help.

Eli is a 1-of-a-kind partner in the application process. He’s incredibly honest and forthcoming, pushing you to find the best version of your application at every turn. Whether it was my resume or my essay, there would be times when I felt like there were no more improvements or changes I could make, but Eli constantly pushed me on even the smallest of bullet points to find something better. That was the case for every single piece of the application process.

When we did my first practice interview, I totally bombed it. And Eli laid into me. He made it clear that if I performed like that during the interview, I won’t get admitted, full stop. It is hard to hear something like that, with so much on the line, and not completely panic. But the honesty pushed me to prepare. I spent the next few weeks going back and forth with voice memos and doing more mock interviews with his friends and colleagues. By the time the interview day came, I was leagues better than our first mock interview.

At the end of the day, using a consultant isn’t any magic guarantee of success. Don’t let any reviews try to convince you of that. Putting together a great application is incredibly burdensome and stress-inducing. But, if you’re sure that an MBA is the next step you want to take, you owe it to yourself to find someone who gives you the best possible shot to succeed. Eli does that.
